Sherifa Hamid is an Egyptian photographer working in the fields of architecture and design. She began her photography practice at a young age in Cairo, gaining recognition from local galleries. Her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in Architecture at the ENSA Paris-Malaquais deepened her interest in documenting spaces & the built environment. Over the past few years, she has produced images for both established and emerging design firms, capturing architecture, interiors, landscapes, and product design. Noted for her ability to craft atmospheric images and her keen sensitivity to light and shadow, she is also dedicated to architecture publishing. As Editor-in-chief of Dataland Publications, she initiated the project and led the editorial team from concept to execution of the printed magazine over two and a half years. Currently, she is engaged in a long-term project focused on developing an architecture-centered digital image database to facilitate publishing efforts in Egypt and the region.
